how do i start?

tap the serve button to hand a bowl to whoever is waiting at teta's stand, or hold it to keep serving. teta's tips walk you through the first minutes, and the goal at the top always shows the next step.

what's holding my empire back?

open goods. teta names the slowest link in your chain and takes you to the fix.

does the game keep going when i'm away?

yes, for two hours, plus more for every cold store you build and every level it grows, up to a full day. the night shift in teta's notebook adds a few hours more. when you come back you'll see what your empire earned.

where is my progress saved?

on your phone. deleting the app deletes your progress, so keep it installed when you switch things around.

how do friends and rankings work?

sign in to game center (settings → game center) and icloud. then tap the friends button at the top of the game to see your friends' villages, the rankings and villages from around the world. you can hide your own village there anytime.

i'm not getting reminders

the game asks to send notifications when you build your first cold store. if you said no, you can turn them on in settings → notifications → hummus.

what are golden chickpeas?

the shop's currency. spend them on boosts, time warps and builders who finish right away. you find them in golden pitas, teta's gift and every level up, and you can buy more in the shop (the golden chickpea at the top of the screen).

what does hummus+ give me?

30 golden chickpeas every day, twice as long while you're away, teta's gift doubled, longer boosts and a golden stand. it's monthly, and the first week is free.

how do i cancel hummus+?

open the shop and tap manage, or go to settings, your name, subscriptions, hummus+. cancel at least a day before it renews and you won't be charged again; the perks last until the end of the month you paid for.

i bought something and don't see it

purchases arrive in a moment. if the game closed in the middle, they arrive the next time it opens. for hummus+ on a new phone, open the shop and tap restore purchases.
